While sneaker fans know Sean Wotherspoon for his blockbuster designs and his cult vintage shops, Round Two, he has spent decades accumulating objects that define our collective pop culture experience. Since the objects we collect are also reflect ourselves, this selection speaks to his fascination with innovation versus nostalgia, and the blurred realm between quirky and cool.
Sean Wotherspoon is an American-born designer, artist, and hardcore collector currently living in LA. He is mostly recognized for his Nike Air Max 1/97, Vespa, and Adidas “Super Earth” program amongst countless other environmentally friendly projects. Prior to designing sneakers, he co-founded the Virginia-based vintage sneaker store, Round Two, in 2013, which led to additional locations around the country and a YouTube series. In Wotherspoon’s universe, there’s no telling what worlds will collide next.
