With a pure aesthetic that reveals a mastery of form, Louis-Géraud Castor arranges flowers like organic sculptures. From one bouquet to the next, the harmony between flowers and their vessels shows his constant pursuit of a harmony of natural and material form. These artistic creations bridge the tradition of still life and abstraction, expressing a new floral language.
Louis-Géraud Castor’s eponymous workshop, Castor, is located in the Marais, Paris. Having studied history and archeology at the Sorbonne, he was, most recently, an expert at the auction house, Drouot. For him, “Flowers are breaths of life; impressions of life.”
